Chevrolet Volt ERDTT disabling modules

What is the ERDTT function?

  • The ERDTT function is a programming feature that forces the use of the gasoline engine starting from a certain temperature to assist the electric heating system on Chevrolet Volt vehicles.

Why disable the ERDTT function?

  • The ERDTT function can use the internal combustion engine at low RPM and a lower than normal operating temperature for extended periods, which can lead to moisture contamination of the engine oil, causing premature wear and corrosion.
  • Many vehicle owners can do their regular trips in very cold weather without using gasoline.
  • Significant reduction in gasoline consumption and pollution over short distances.

You can purchase the modules by searching for "ERDTT" on eBay or by contacting Joel directly at joel@evtuning.ca
